Anybody following the IPO market knows February 2006 got off to a fast start. Bankers priced 18 deals through Friday, February 10, 2006, which raised $3.2 billion. That was a favorable comparison to January 2006 when bankers priced 16 deals for the entire month. They raised $2.5 billion. However, over the next two weeks, the deal count falls off sharply.
