This is the first blank-check company or SPAC established by Lazard, which was founded in 1848 in New Orleans. Lazard is one of the world’s leading financial advisory firms. As of Dec. 31, 2020, Lazard’s asset management business managed about $259 billion of assets on behalf of corporations, public funds, sovereign entities, endowments and foundations, labor funds, financial intermediaries and private clients, the prospectus says.
