Business: | Thoma Bravo Advantage is a blank check company backed and led by Thoma Bravo, a software-focused private equity firm. Orlando Bravo, the chairman of Thoma Bravo Advantage’s board, is a founder and a managing partner of Thoma Bravo. He led the private equity firm’s early entry into software buyouts and built the firm into one of the world’s top private equity companies. Mr. Bravo has overseen more than 270 software acquisitions, representing more than $79 billion in transaction value. Forbes named him “Wall Street’s best dealmaker” in 2019. In a letter included in the prospectus, the company says: “As an experienced software investor, we have partnered with management teams to build world-class businesses. These investments include now-public companies such as Dynatrace, SailPoint and SolarWinds, which have significantly increased their revenue and earnings since Thoma Bravo’s initial investment.” (Note: This is an offering of Class A ordinary shares.
